JANETTE TORAL: Recipient of the First Champion of Philippine Internet and E-Commerce Hall of Fame Award at the BLOGWORLD PHILIPPINES 2010
Janette Toral‘s life has been devoted to the advancement of E-Commerce in the country. She has no strong organizational support behind her, nor political backings, but she was able to command the respect of every major new media organization and information technology company in the country.
She was able to spearhead the lobbying and the passing of E-Commerce law in collaboration with some of her colleagues.
Her unselfish efforts and pure motives of promoting new media education and new technologies in IT has earned her throngs of followers and network both from the members of the industry and the academe. She was the founder of Philippine Internet Commerce Society. Her consultative meetings, her quality seminars and her digitalfilipino club has been able to generate followers throughout the country both experts, practitioners and newbies.
She authored countless of books, researches and educational blogs. She is a celebrity in her own rights, she’s all over, but a mentor nearby available to everyone who would ask for her assistance and advice.
It is just fitting to give this wonder woman all the accolade she deserves.
The Award:
During the event of Blogworld Philippine 2010, Miss Janette Toral was enthroned as first Champion of Philippine Internet and E-Commerce Hall of Fame Awardee:
“for offering all her life towards the advancement of E-Commerce and Digital Media education and policy improvement in the Philippines”.
This Hall of Fame Award will be given yearly to Filipino Heroes, Martyrs and Advocates who have largely contributed to the advancement of E-Commerce, Internet Technology, New Media and IT in the Philippines.
The second award was given to Mr Joey de Venecia for his brave effort fighting the alleged corruption in the ZTE-NBN Internet Infrastructure deal.
Blogworld Philippines 2010 has the sole honor to confer this very first hall of fame award, in recognition of Janette Toral’s efforts and legacy.
We hope Miss Janette Toral would contribute even more for the betterment of the industry, and continue to be an inspiration for the youth in the country.
